Youth Work

Youth work at KEVI has changed considerably over the last few years and the new team are working to create a service which provides a variety of activities for the Young People in the Morpeth area. We work in various locations throughout the catchment including from the Youth Centres at KEVI, Longhorsley and Hepscott, detached sessions in Morpeth on evenings and provide weekend and holiday activities throughout the year. Activities are provided every evening from the KEVI Youth Centre, which range organised sessions such as our Survival group and Garden Group, to Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Juggling club and open drop in sessions and Youth Club evenings. Sexual Health drop-ins and other one-to-one sessions are also available.

We also work with local organisations such as Barnabus Safe and Sound and Morpeth Youth Initiative and meet regularly with partner agencies in the local area as the ‘Morpeth Youth Forum’ to coordinate our Youthwork provision.

Look out for our roving Youthwork/ Youthclub sessions in the far flung areas of the catchment and remember that if you let us know what activities you want, we’ll do our best to provide them! Enquiries, comments or questions should come to Hayley Johnson on 01670 501531.
